A BBC analysis of labour relations notes that as the economy mover out of recession, union leaders seems to be becoming more militant. There are prospects in 2010 for industrial unrest on the railways, at Royal Mail and in the public sector. RMT leader Bob Crowe is quoted as saying  The growing militancy of confidence of the trade union movement will increase in 2010. (more…)

A solution in the Royal Mail dispute is looking increasingly unlikely, even though each side claim that the future of the organisation depends upon it.
