Social Workers Deserve Better Leadership

The NSPCC have called for legislation empowering social workers to see children without their parents present. They believe this would enable social workers to identify victims of abuse more easily, without the parents being able to pull the wool over their eyes. However, the social workers, Unison, and the British Association of Social Workers oppose the move, saying that the powers already exist and that further legislation is unnecessary. (more…)
